MEET DR. ALLISEN LANDRY, PEDIATRIC NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST IN BELLEVUE, WA

I’m here to  help  you understand your child—and support them with clarity and compassion.

Why I Do This Work

My interest in neuropsychology began with a fascination for the brain and how its unique wiring shapes the way people think, learn, feel, and behave. Over time, that curiosity grew into a deep commitment to helping children thrive by providing the clarity and understanding they need to feel seen and supported—not just for their challenges, but for their strengths.

Insight Leads to Empowerment

I often share my own story with families to help illustrate just how powerful a neuropsychological evaluation can be. As a teenager, I struggled with math. Despite having a tutor and plenty of support, it just didn’t click. I remember feeling frustrated, defeated, and convinced that something was wrong with me. I spent many nights in tears, arguing with my parents, and internalizing the belief that I wasn’t smart enough. It took a toll on my confidence and increased my anxiety.

Looking back, I likely had an undiagnosed learning disorder in math. I also now understand that my brain processes information differently, particularly in areas like working memory, which plays a big role in math success.

If I had received a neuropsychological evaluation, I might have understood my learning profile earlier. With that insight, I could have received the right supports, accommodations, and teaching strategies tailored to how my brain works. It would have made a world of difference—not just in academics, but in how I saw myself.

This is what I want for your child: clarity, self-understanding, and a path forward that feels empowering instead of overwhelming. Every child deserves to learn in a way that works for them, and every family deserves guidance on how to support that journey.

All and all, I genuinely love my job! There’s nothing more rewarding than helping a parent finally understand what their child is going through, or watching a child light up as they realize, “I’m not broken, I just learn differently.” I love finding the pattern behind the puzzle and helping turn confusion into clarity, and frustration into hope.

My Professional Journey

Overall, my training and experience has given me clinical expertise, but also warmth, curiosity, and a collaborative approach to every evaluation. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, but always centered on the unique story of each child and young person I serve.

A Bit About Me

Outside of work, I find joy in the simple things—cheering on the Mariners and Sounders, spending time with my husband and friends, relaxing on Lake Tapps, and sharing life with my cat, Ron Swanson. Whether I’m traveling, catching a game, or just soaking in some sunshine by the water, I value connection, fun, and being present.

Rooted in the Northwest, Shaped by Experience

I’m proud to call the Pacific Northwest home. I grew up in Seattle, studied psychology at the University of Washington, and have lived in many places across the country—including Oregon, Arizona, Maryland, Ohio, and even Australia. These experiences have broadened my perspective, but my heart has always stayed grounded in the values of this community: authenticity, openness, and a deep respect for individuality.
